1. Introduction:

At KM Packaging we understand the importance of conducting business responsibly and sustainably. We remain committed to integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into our business operations. This ESG Policy serves as a guiding framework for our company to meet and exceed stakeholder expectations, foster positive societal impact, and contribute to a sustainable future.

Our core values of trust, ownership, passion and innovation are the foundation of our success and underpin everything we do. We treat our suppliers, customers and employees with respect in line with our values. We strive for the highest levels of technical excellence and build strong and long-term mutually beneficial relationships.

 

2. Environmental Responsibility:

a. Resource Efficiency:

  • Committed to optimising our resource usage, minimizing waste, and adopting energy-efficient practices within our operations and in conjunction with our responsible supply chain partners.
  • Strive to reduce our carbon footprint through efficient logistics and transportation choices.
  • Continually investigation new initiatives to drive improvements.

b. Product Sustainability:

  • Continually invest in NPD in order to offer commercially viable eco-friendly and recyclable packaging materials.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to source materials with minimal environmental impact on a global platform.
  • KM is registered as a ‘Supporter’ of the global ‘Operation Clean Sweep’ (OCS) initiative. OCS was set up by the plastics industry to minimise the loss of plastic pellets, flake and powder into the environment.

c. Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and standards applicable to our industry, specifically BRC AA compliance.
  • Ensure we meet and serve diverse global compliance needs.

 

3. Social Responsibility:

a. Employee Well-being & Creating Positive and Supportive Working Environment:

  • We are an Employee Ownership Trust; all employees have a stake in the ownership of the business.

  • We recognise that having fun together is vital for a successful business. We regularly arrange social events including our Christmas party.
