KM Packaging becomes a REDcycle Partner

Global flexible packaging and lidding films supplier KM Packaging is proud to become a REDcycle partner. The REDcycle Program is a voluntary, industry-led recovery initiative for post-consumer soft plastic.

Consumers can return all their soft plastic using collection points in Coles and Woolworths supermarket stores across Australia.

The collected material is recycled and used to manufacture a range of new plastic products, including indoor and outdoor furniture, bollards, signage, and other items for the consumer market.

John Shipley, KM's Business Unit Director for the Australian market, said: "As one of the leading suppliers of flexible packaging to the Australian food industry, we are delighted to have become a REDcycle partner.

"We already offer grades in our K Peel lidding film range that are REDcycle approved and are looking forward to further supporting the initiative."

The REDcycle Program makes it easy for consumers to keep plastic bags and packaging out of landfill and, for assistance, please check your packaging for instructions or refer to www.redcycle.net.au for a comprehensive list of what can be recycled through the program.

The REDCycle partnership follows KM Packaging recently becoming a member of APCO (the Australian Packaging Covenant), which is committed to achieving the 2025 National Packaging Targets that include 100% reusable, recyclable or compostable packaging.
