Long-standing KM Packaging employee, Sara Athey, has retired after working at the company for almost three decades. Sara, who was hired by the company’s founders as its first full-time employee in 1989, has retired following more than a quarter of a century of service.
Throughout her career as part of KM Packaging’s Customer Service Team, Sara has been pivotal in laying the very foundations of the business. She formed an essential part of the company’s success, contributing to its ethos, acting as customers’ key point of contact and handling global logistics to ensure goods are moved seamlessly around the world.
Sara said of her time with the company: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my years at KM Packaging, seeing the company grow from a team of just three of us at the beginning to the bustling office of well over twenty now.
“Being part of the business’s growth and building close relationships with customers across the world has been a privilege and I’m thrilled that the values so closely held at the very beginning, form the heart of the business today. I’ll miss working with such a lovely group of people each day, though I’m looking forward to some rest and relaxation.”
Graham Holding, KM Packaging Commercial Director, said: “Sara has been instrumental to the growth of KM, ensuring customers in the UK and overseas received the high-level of customer service we are now known for in the market.
“Sara’s highly customer-focused values, such as consistent communication and the importance of relationship building, remain vital aspects of how we do business. I’d like to thank Sara for all her hard work over the years and wish her the very best in her retirement.”
